Fabrication Supervisor

Job Summary: Responsible for supervising fabrication department 50+ employees and organizing work processes.

Looking for Candiadates Available: 2nd shift.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the flow of work within the entire painting department in order to ship every order on time, every time
  • Quote and/or assign coating cost estimates to jobs
  • Establish job priorities
  • Order all related materials and maintain inventory at optimal levels
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance
  • Establish bake temperatures and dwell times
  • Interpret of and conform to finish specifications
  • Recommend and specify coatings
  • Give direction and set goals
  • Recommend and execute equipment selection, layout and installation
  • Confer with vendors
  • Perform all functions of a Supervisor
  • Coordinate and cooperate with all cross-functional departments to insure customer needs are fulfilled
  • Initiate continuing improvements in areas of assigned responsibility to improve quality, decrease lead times, enhance productivity and maintain safety and health
  • Monitor operations for compliance with the company's quality policies and procedures and take action as required to prevent or to remedy non-compliance

Experience: Five+ year related experience preferred.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to regularly stand and walk

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a production plant environment with limited exposure to elements such as dust, noise, fumes or temperature changes, and with limited exposure to mechanical, electrical, fire, chemical, or other hazards.
